$5 Free Starbucks from Visa Checkout

To me, one of the only things better than Startucks coffee is FREE Starbucks coffee. That’s why I’m excited about the current promotion from Visa Checkout. Be one of the first 200,000 to buy an eGift Card (min. $10) on Starbucks.com and pay using Visa Checkout between 8/4/16 – 8/18/16 and get a Bonus Load of $5.

This offer isn’t quite as lucrative as the last Starbucks/Visa Checkout promotion back in May. That one gave you a $10 Bonus Load for purchasing a $10 eGift card.

It’s important to note, this doesn’t mean you simply checkout by paying with a Visa card. You need to sign up for a Visa Checkout account and add at least one payment method to it.

Visa Checkout is a digital wallet service similar to paypal. According to their website:

It’s simple to sign up for Visa Checkout. Set up your account, and start spending less time filling out forms when you shop. On a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop, Visa Checkout works with your existing debit or credit cards across all your devices, no matter where you are. So, shopping stays convenient and paying online gets even easier.

You don’t need a Visa card to use Visa Checkout. You can add any credit or debit card as payment methods, and choose which card you want to pay with at time of online purchase.

All you need to do is sign up for Visa Checkout at their website. Then, add a minimum $10 e-gift card to your shopping cart at Starbucks.com. When you are ready to pay, instead of adding all your personal credit card information, click on the “Visa Checkout” option as your payment method. You’ll be prompted to log in using your Visa Checkout username and password and choose a card to pay with. Confirm your purchase and you’re done.

Your receipt will show a your charge, while your e-gift card recipient will receive an extra $5 on the gift card. Who couldn’t use a little free Starbucks? I know I can.
