Targeted: SPG Amex 5000 Bonus Points After $5000 Spend

The Offer

American Express is offering 5,000 Bonus Starpoints after spending $5,000 in qualifying purchases on your enrolled SPG card between the time you complete enrollment and May 31, 2017. The enrollment period ends on March 31, 2017.

Qualifying purchases can be made by the cardholder and any authorized users and do NOT include fees or interest charges, balance transfers, cash advances, purchases of traveler’s checks, purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, or purchases of any cash equivalents. The bonus points will be credited to your account 10-12 weeks after you meet the $5,000 spend requirement.

I’m not targeted for this offer but I was for a similar one in December. I recently completed the $5,000 spend requirement for that offer and received my 5,000 bonus Starpoints a few days later.

Starpoints have a large number of redemption options. You can use them to book stays at a Starwood property, transfer them to a huge list of airline partners, transfer them to Marriott (at a 3x multiple), or purchase or bid on a VIP experience through SPG Moments.
