SPG Starpoints
Starpoints are a favorite for travelers not just because they have high value when you redeem at Starwood properties like Sheraton, Westin, and W Hotels. Starpoints can also be transferred directly to miles in your frequent flyer program with a 1:1 Starpoints-to-miles exchange rate on most airlines. In addition, for every 20,000 you transfer at a time, SPG adds 5,000 bonus points to the transfer.
Since Marriott and Starwood have merged, there are a host of other ways to use Starpoints. You can transfer 35,000 SPG points to 105,000 Marriott points. If you’re not a traveler, you can use Starpoints for SPG Moments experiences like the Luxury Suite at Madison Square Garden.
Keep in mind the signup bonus eligibility requirements for American Express cards. If you currently have this card or had it at any time in the past, you are ineligible to receive it again.
