New Amex Offers for Double Membership Rewards Points

American Express has come out with a number of new offers on their cards that earn Membership Rewards. For select online retailers, you can earn 2x Membership Rewards points on your purchases through December 31, 2016.

These offers are not as lucrative as the cash incentives we often see with this program, but I might consider using an Amex card for some of these purchases for the extra point. In addition, you can stack these offers by shopping via an online portal for even more rewards.

Last week, this appeared in the Amex Offers & Benefits section of my americanexpress.com account

I still have a fair amount of Amazon credit that I got from gift cards loaded onto my account. And during any quick run to Staples, I can buy Amazon gift cards and receive 5x Chase Ultimate Rewards points if I charge it to my Chase Ink Plus business credit card. Staples also sells gift cards to some of the retailers on the list below, and 5 Ultimate Rewards is better than 2 Membership Rewards no matter how you do math.
